An aerial work platform (AWP) is a mechanical device that is used to provide temporary access to high places or areas that are difficult to reach. AWPs consist of a platform or bucket attached to a hydraulic or electric lifting system, allowing the operator to move the platform up and down, often side to side or rotate, to access the work area. They are typically mounted on a vehicle, such as a truck or a trailer, or on a self-propelled unit. AWPs are used in various industries, including construction, maintenance, and inspection, to reach heights that are not accessible by ladders or scaffolding.

SDA proudly provides wheel hubs for the LCMG Scissor Lifts and undercarriage components to the Genie S60/S65 AWP, including:

1. All AWP Undercarriage components including the split bogies, tension rollers, sprockets, spindles, and hubs. All the AWP rolling components were designed by SDA engineers specifically for the customer’s needs. The rollers incorporate large taper roller bearings and metal face seals to ensure optimum life in severe working conditions.
2. Drive Spindle and Sprockets – The drive spindle and sprockets are ADI (Austempered Ductile Iron) Grade 3 and Grade 4. SDA has the knowledge, experience, and ability to make ADI parts correctly when many suppliers cannot.
3. SDA provides robust wheel hubs for the LCMG scissor lifts. These hubs were designed by SDA to provide LCMG a very durable, low cost assembly that works perfectly for this machines application.
